PokéDrive’s Story
The Story Behind PokéDrive
As a longtime Pokémon card collector, founder Abhi Bhanja began noticing how difficult it had become to find cards in stores. Shelves were often empty, and resellers drove up prices, making the hobby less accessible for kids who could not afford to pay large amounts or did not have other ways to get cards.
At the same time, Abhi saw how most packs contain many cards that go unused. After the “chase card” is pulled, the rest often sit in binders or boxes collecting dust. But as a kid, Abhi remembered how even the simplest card could hold personal meaning, spark imagination, and create lasting memories. That realization sparked an idea to repurpose unused cards and share the excitement of Pokémon with children who might not otherwise experience it.

“Oh my god my first Pokémon Cards! I’m so happy!”
These were real words founders Abhi Bhanja and Mason Roh heard during PokeDrive’s very first delivery. The experience of giving back to the community was deeply rewarding and sparked a passion that has kept them committed to running drives ever since.
What began as a small, local project has now grown across the state of Georgia, with bundles being supplied to major hospitals, clinics, and community centers. PokeDrive is not just a one time effort but a movement with a vision for the future. With big dreams ahead, Abhi hopes to expand PokeDrive beyond state borders and eventually bring the joy of Pokémon to children in less developed countries around the world. One long term goal is to deliver over 100,000 packs globally, ensuring that every child, no matter their circumstances, can experience the joy of opening their first pack of Pokémon cards.
